Story
The "Black Pingus", a gang of thugs, are terrorizing the lands of Pinwiland with the help of other evil associates. As part of their plans, Pinwi's girlfriend, Ninwina, has been kidnapped and hidden somewhere in the country.
Pinwi is an expert snowball thrower and is willing to fight to get his love back, are you going to help him?
How to play
This is a ZX Spectrum videogame. You can play it in a real ZX Spectrum 48 or 128 K computer or using an emulator.
We recommend Retro Virtual Machine (RVM) for the second case.
Instructions to play using RVM:
- Download the TAP file. There are 2 different versions: 48K or 128K
- Open RVM, create or select a ZX Spectrum machine (we recommend 128K models such as +2/+2A if you want to enjoy music and extra contents). Open that machine.
- Press the tape icon and insert (select) de TAP file by pressing STOP in the virtual cassette player.
- Select the tape loader option and press ENTER.
- Press PLAY in the virtual cassette player.
- The game will load, wait some minutes or press FORDWARD icon to accelerate the process.
Controls
You can use keyboard or joystick (Kempston and Sinclair) to play the game. Control Pinwi with the joystick and shoot with the fire button.
The snowballs will be thrown in the direction that we are pressing. There are 5 possible directions: left, up, right and their diagonals.
Slide and dodge.
By pressing the lower diagonals (down-left and down-right) the player will be able to slide sideways and dodge enemy shots in the meantime. During the slide you will not be able to shoot. Use it wisely.
The keys are:
| Q: Up | O: Left | P: Right |
| A: Down | Space: Shoot |

Ya lo habíamos disfrutado en la versión Amstrad CPC, pero esto es la bomba! Un movimiento super fluido que ahora se une a la ya sabida diversión y vicio que provoca esta pequeña maravilla. Hora de cazar pingüinos (malos)!!!! Felicidades, equipo!!!!

Un juego que podria ser un arcade de salon de la epoca tranquilamente. Una segunda parte a 2 jugadores llamado "Penguin Brothers" lo veo, je...abrazo amigo, a seguir creando.

Estoy disfrutando el buen trabajo realizado con los azules. El spectrum tiene unos colores muy bonitos. El atardecer rosado parece un caramelo. El juego es muy divertido y tiene un espíritu arcade que hubiese triunfado como recreativa en la época, no puedo dejar de jugarlo (me encanta las valoraciones de VidaExtra y Javi Ortíz sobre este juego). Me gusta jugar a este juego pensando que lanzo unas inofensivas bolas de nieve a una pandilla de gamberretes que necesitan aprender una buena lección de moralidad (tal como sucedía en la peli "el secreto de los McCann"). Tengo el cassette de cpc pero me encantaría una versión dual con cpc cara A y spectrum cara B, podría ser con la misma portada pero dentro de un marco para diferenciarla (en plan hewson) y que los que ya tengan la primera edición casette de cpc, pues tengan una excusa para comprarla también. Muchas gracias por haber programado este juego para spectrum.
Muchas gracias por tu comentario ante todo. Nos alegra mucho que te guste el juego. Respecto a una versión física, la cinta llevaría en una cara la versión 128 y en otra la de 48k. Los cepeceros ya tuvieron su edición y ahora toca atender a los usuarios de 48, que casi nunca lanzamos versión para ellos.

That's an adorable game. It's as if Konami would have made a cute, non-violent version of Cabal. I'm sorry that there isn't a version for the MSX.

Very cute game, and does have that '80s-style Konami feeling. Thanks for confirming there's 21 stages. Now if only I could get past stage 2 ;)
